HOW DO THEY WORK?
Our Pixie nappy is a versatile one-size-fits-most (OSFM) style designed to adapt from birth to toilet training. Featuring a water-resistant shell, and selected absorbency (either the trifold & booster or hemp duo set). The absorbency is inserted into the pocket for an unbeatable nappy setup, natural fibre inserts & a stay-dry lining against your baby's skin.
With all the essential features, the Cloth Bums Pixie ensures your little one will stay comfortable and leak-free throughout their journey.
Use the adjustable 'grow with me' snaps on the shell on the nappy to adapt to your baby's ever growing shape. The snaps up the middle are called your rise snaps, designed to adjust the overall length and leg hole of the nappy, and around the top are your hip and waist snaps that will adjust the width around the tummy.
HOW MANY DO I NEED?
Your nappy needs will evolve as your baby grows – infants typically use more nappies than older children. For a full-time cloth nappy stash, aim for around 24 nappies. However, starting gradually with just a few is perfectly fine – remember, it's not an all-or-nothing commitment.
Every child is different, but generally, a dedicated night-time nappy becomes necessary for children over 4 months old. That's why we've crafted a heavy-duty night nappy that's both simple to use and can last a full 12 hours overnight.
As your little one grows, their urine output changes too – from the smaller output of a newborn to the increased output of a toddler. That's why our two inserts are designed to adapt with your baby.
Start with the smaller insert for the early stages, and as your child grows and needs more absorbency, simply double up with two inserts for maximum comfort and protection. It's all about adjusting to your baby's changing needs!
With countless brands and types of cloth nappies out there, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. That's why our entire range is built on our personal experience with cloth nappies and the feedback from our Cloth Bums community.
We've carefully curated a high-quality product line with essential features and premium materials, all while keeping prices affordable. Because every little bottom deserves the best without breaking the bank!
Washing cloth nappies might seem daunting at first, but trust us, it's simpler than you think. Gone are the days of soaking nappies – now, it's just a matter of washing.
Typically, you'll start with a first wash each day (or every other day), followed by a second main wash of all the pre-washed nappies on day 3 or 4. After the main wash, hang your nappies to dry, and voila! Nappy washing is usually only a once or twice a week task.
